About Us

Catherine's story — caring for mothers and children
Our Beginning

Catherine's Story

SCACHA was born from a deeply personal experience. Catherine, a young mother in Bamenda, witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by vulnerable women, children, and families in her community — struggles that too often went unnoticed and unsupported.

Moved by compassion, she began organizing small community support groups, gathering resources, and volunteering her time to help those most in need. What started as one woman's act of kindness grew into a movement of care.

Today, the Saint Catherine Charity for Humanitarian Aid (SCACHA) carries forward that founding spirit — serving displaced families, supporting maternal and child health, expanding education access, and championing disability inclusion across Cameroon.

Our Vision

A Cameroon Where No One is Left Behind

We envision a Cameroon where every mother receives quality healthcare, every child has access to education, every displaced person finds safety and belonging, and every person with a disability is included and empowered. Our vision is a society built on compassion, equity, and shared humanity — where the most vulnerable are lifted up and given the opportunity to thrive.
